Playing computer games online has sure evolved since I started playing online back in 1995. I wont tell you how was the computer gaming industry when I bought my first computer back in 1983. Its like talking about prehistoric times and dinosaures! Computer Online Games Directory will list old and new games for your enjoyment.
Its amazing how computer online gaming is everywhere and anywhere now and played on so many different consoles and computers.. Last year I bought a PS3 and since then we have played a wide variety of fun games with the kids and the grand kids too. We are having a blast litterally especially with the ps3 move games. The sports games are sure fun with the move. I looked at the kinec before deciding to buy the PS3. Why? I tried in the store the ping pong game on both systems and I have found the PS3 with the move had a lot more finesse in the game play. The kinec was only ping pong, you just had hit the ball and you were ok, a bit boring, no fancy moves.
But my preferences is still with my trustee PC and the gazillions of online games popping out every weeks to entice you and make you forget about the real world. Its a great escape indeed. I have played Everquest with my son back in 1999. That was a great RPG online games. Everquest looks like the grand daddy of online role playing. Then more games came along like Dark Age of Camelot. I really enjoyed it for many years and made good friends same with everquest. Interesting how you can make real friends in a virtual world of online gaming. We are world appart but we feel like so close sometimes.
Then back in 2004 I believe world or Warcraft came out, the online gaming version. My son and myself played it the day it openend. Many could not log in, the servers were swamped. We were among the first to play and lagging was omnipresent for a week or so. We played it for years and got many of characters to the top levels. Some other games came out featuring a lot of new content. My friends and myself went for it for a while, but we were dispointed with many like for example the online game Horizon... my dragon never took to the air. Then I was a beta player for Star Wars online. Nice graphics but they wont hold me for long, but the gameplay will. I got tired of it and went back to WoW for many years. Many other games came along like Guild wars and Final Fantasy. We played many other ones too and eventually gor tired of the repetition of most of them.
Diablo 3 just came out few weeks ago and its the latest hype in the online gaming world these days. I decided to play it. My friends are playing it and loving it. I will then wait for Guild Wars 2. Its seems like a promising online game. I enjoyed Guild Wars 1. The fluid graphics were very nice but the limit of levels made me wanting more. Guild Wars 2 will have like 80 levels I think. I have watched the beta on youtube, looks great! I love a game where you can customize your character to a point you are almost unique. This feature is missinga a lot in massice online gaming. Warhammer which I played a while was nice but everyone looked the same in my view. Give my great character customization, a superb gameplay and fluid graphics and I will be faithfully playing it for years to come.
